Elysium Residence

Elysium Residence was designed by Architect Derek Treacy, Abor Developments Pty Ltd had input to the design from the very beginning.  The concept was to create an architectural house like building that is actually a multi-unit building.  Elysium comprises of a basement car park with store rooms, four spacious three bedroom apartments over 2 levels, and a 4 bedroom penthouse on the third level.

Building orientation was carefully planned to minimise the western facing walls, in addition, windows and doors were positioned to achieve maximum cross air flow.  Air gap between the plasterboard and block wall, and R4.0 insulation on the ceiling helped the building to achieve an average rating of 7 star energy rating, with some apartment achieving as much as 8.5 stars.

The interior design was done in-house by Emi Yokoya, the building features a striking stone cladded lift tower at the front of the building, and space has been utilised to the maximum.  In all apartments, the indoor living and outdoor living spaces are integrated with a full ceiling height glass door.

The complex won Master builder’s housing award for 2013
